I wish to convey my sincere thanks and appreciation for an excellent and professional service received from your company. My Jeep Renegade was involved in an accident and my insurance authorised Giorgio Express Auto Body Repairs to repair the vehicle. There was a delay due to the non-availability of parts from the dealer. I was updated on the progress from day one through SMS and email. I was phoned twice a week. The day I came to collect the vehicle, I was warmly welcomed and offered something to drink. This was my first time to get this kind of service from a garage. My car was clean and I was shown the area where the damage occurred. Yesterday, I received an email and SMS again about the update on the outstanding parts from the dealer.

It’s with the greatest joy I write this review. Before I jump into the full review here is a synopsis and overview.

I recently acquired a white 2014 BMW X3 from a family member who resides in Johannesburg. Fortunately, the vehicle was very well looked after. However, as you would expect from any car that is 4 years old, it had some obvious wear and tear and general environmental damage to the paintwork. Such as minor stone chips, scratches, paint swirls as well an overall dullness to the paint and its gloss finish.
I decided to inquire about a full auto body projection glaze and hi-precision polish from Giorgio Express Auto Body Repairs. This is a very important part of proper car maintenance, especially considering the wonderful things salt air does to vehicles down here on the coast.
I called and spoke to Tembi Chiya who explained the entire process to me in considerable depth, but in layman terms that the average Joe like myself, could understand. In addition, the cost and work timeframe was made clear right up front. Once the quote was agreed on, I was then assisted with scheduling in the vehicle for the work to be done at a time that was convenient for me. Which I appreciated. There was no pressure or rush being forced onto me which is always reassuring and appreciated.
On arrival to drop off the vehicle I was greeted by an always friendly Tembi. She again ran over the process and time frame the work would take. Simple questions were also asked that I believe people often overlook like ‘have all your items and valuables been removed from the vehicle?’ It might sound silly, but you won’t believe how many times I have left personal items in my car. So, it was a very nice touch and showed their attention to detail and customer service.
After a delicious cup of coffee from their coffee machine, I was offered a ride back to work, which I took. The driver was equally as professional and friendly as Tembi which made the ride back to work very pleasant!
I would say midway through the work being carried out, Tembi gave me a courtesy call just to keep me updated on the progress that had been made so far. Again, this was a nice touch it is quite rare for a company to call and update you… It’s usually the other way around.
I was then contacted again and informed that my vehicle was ready, also worth noting is that this was before the expected due date. I requested to be collected, once again an extremely friendly and well-presented driver collected and kept me company on my way back to Giorgio’s.
Once there, I again had the pleasure of dealing with Tembi whose customer service was flawless. I was then given a full inspection of the vehicle and shown exactly what had been done.
Now for the result on the work that was done.
I must be honest, I did not have the greatest expectations as I have had similar work done to other vehicles from other auto body workshops and the results were always just ok or average.
What I can tell you is this was NOTHING like anything else I have experience in the past. The vehicle was glistening and looks pristine from every angle. Their work did not only meet my expectations but blow them right out of the water. The finishing on the precision polish left the car feeling silky smooth. Not a single imperfection could be found and trust me, I looked and looked.
The work carried out truly restored the vehicle to its former showroom glory and finish. As a bonus, the interior of the vehicle also got a valet treatment. So it matched the exquisiteness of the exterior.
When it came time to settle my bill, there was no hidden costs or surprises, it was exactly what was quoted.
I have since been driving the vehicle for over a month and it still feels silky smooth and looks like a million bucks.
I would HIGHLY recommend Giorgio Express Auto Body Repairs not only for this service but for any auto body repair work you might have. Their attention to detail, workmanship and overall customer service can simply not be beaten.
